September 14 marks the start of National Coding Week. Over the years, studies have shown that coding can boost children’s problem-solving skills, creativity, digital literacy, and opportunities to get jobs in the coding field. These discoveries have led to the development of many schools and after-school programs that teach kids to code – and theCoderSchool is one of them. KCSB’s Jackie Sedley chatted with program founder Hansel Lynn to discuss what he sees as the benefits of teaching children how to code.
