Over the past 24 hours, millions of ordinary South Africans have sent their condolences on the passing of Isithwalandwe, Dr. Andrew Mlangeni. As the last remaining accused in the Rivonia Trial, his passing signifies the end of an era.

In a statement, the National Heritage Council reflects on this departed generation: “This is a generation that leaders and future leaders of our country should reflect on to carry this country forward. The NHC will ensure that Andrew Mlangeni’s legacy is preserved and promoted for the betterment of the republic of South Africa”. Their legacy should be known so that their values are embodied as we forever indebted for their sacrifices”
