Each and every year in Australia More than 38,000 people are reported missing to police. While most are found safe within a short period of time, those who are missing for longer than three months become ‘long-term missing persons’ of which there are currently more than 2000 in Australia. 31 July and Saturday 6 August 2022 marks National Missing Persons Week 2022 which aims to recognise the impact a missing person can have on their family, and the importance of the community to help find missing people.
