As an exciting announcement, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts signed a Proclamation on Wednesday, November 10th to acknowledge “Pressure Injury Prevention Day” throughout the state of Nebraska. Every third Thursday in November every year, worldwide, pressure injury prevention efforts are recognized in various health care settings as well as to bring awareness to the community that they can also play a role in prevention. Renee Paulin MSN, RN, CWOCN, President of the Nebraska affiliate of the WOCN Society provided a speech on behalf of the nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the state.  Click here to listen.
