Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma on Thursday gazetted the extension of the Covid-19 National State of Disaster to April 15.

This follows consultations and Cabinet approval, she said, as well as consideration of conditions relating to the risk-adjusted strategy.

“We must sustain our commitment to remain responsive, agile and compassionate as we work to save lives and protect the livelihoods of all South Africans,” she said.

The Cabinet also urged the public to continue adhering to all Covid-19 health measures and restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus.
