Key points of Fr. Jordan's homily:
- The first words Jesus spoke to His disciples after the Transfiguration were, "Rise and do not be afraid". He continues to offer this same encouragement to us today, promising to lead us through the darkness.
- While the disciples saw Jesus’ appearance change, we witness a different "transformation" at every Mass where bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ. This mystery is the source of strength for our daily lives.
- Just as Jesus revealed His glory on Mount Tabor to prepare His disciples for His passion, Jesus offers us grace to sustain us through our own times of hardship.
- Through Adoration, we have the opportunity to sit in silence and gaze upon Jesus hidden in the Eucharist. Bringing our burdens to Him in this way allows us to hear His words of encouragement in our hearts. We can endure even the most difficult and darkest times of our lives through the light of Jesus Christ.
