In 6 short months, it will be Christmas. As a result, the Church recognizes the birth of John the Baptist, for he was conceived and born 6 months before Jesus. In the readings today we are reminded of the place baptism has in the gospel message and how each one of us are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God.
