Natu Vaeluaga - Finding opportunities for Pasifika people at decision making table.

Natu Vaeluaga is of Tuvaluan and Tokelauan descent, born and raised in Aotearoa. She is currently a student at the University of Waikato at the Tauranga campus in my third year of a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biodiversity and Ecology. 
Natu has just finished a summer internship with the Department of Conservation through the Tupu Tai Internship Programme run by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. 
While studying Natu is also a board member of the Pacific Island Community Trust (Tauranga) and a board observer for the Bay of Plenty District Health Board through the ‘A Seat at the Table’ programme.   She is passionate about getting Pasifika people at the table, having conversations that are challenging but needed.
