Natural pause on the Heath work for bird breeding season

Listen Later

Jordan Bleach is the vice-chair of the Friends of Petersfield Heath and is the trained ecologist who organises the workparties of volunteers who maintain the habitat and ecology.

He tells us what’s been happening with the wholly self-funded work, why they are taking a natural pause in the heavier conservation work, and the rhythms of nature on the land and in (and under) the pond.

He notes the arrival of a a surprising visitor.

Jordan was a recipient of a Mayor's Award this year.

They are always looking for volunteers; you can find out more by emailing Jordan on [email protected] or see  Home - Friends of Petersfield Heath
