The Ottoman Empire's failure to strengthen its naval capabilities due to internal disagreements and financial constraints further intensified its vulnerability. Historical analysis reveals naval power as a vital component of national defense, illustrating contemporary implications for Türkiye’s maritime strategy and defense policy in the Aegean.
