On this episode, Christopher interviews Casey about her struggles with PMDD, or Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder, and how difficult it has been to receive diagnosis, care, and treatment. They also discuss some of the general reasons why complex disorders, especially those that are not yet well understood, can have devastating, or even life-threatening, consequences as a result of misunderstanding. Casey advocates for greater education and reform as well as empowering patients to advocate for themselves when they aren't receiving the treatment that they need.
