Yasin Tokat, Policy Group Member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, joins this episode of AI, Government, and the Future by Alan Pentz to unveil the global challenges in AI regulation and how to solve them. They dive into the divergent paths of AI regulation in the US and EU, the risks of AI in cyberattacks, and the urgent need for global collaboration in AI policy and data privacy.
Yasin is a multidisciplinary Ph.D. researcher with broad expertise spanning cybersecurity, international law, policy formulation, intercultural relations, diplomacy, and more. In 2023, he contributed as a Trust and Safety Mentor in the All Tech Is Human Responsible Tech Mentorship Program.
Before joining the Center for AI and Digital Policy, Yasin was a Senior Purchaser at Trivium Packaging and a Procurement Specialist at Bio-Rad Laboratories. He was also with Tata Consultancy Services for over four years in various roles.
