NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco and other February action around the Bay

Listen Later

The channel has kicked off, and Joe looks around all the pro leagues and teams in our area. February is an interesting month: hockey and basketball are going on breaks, but there is no shortage of action. There's also the excitement and optimism of new seasons about to kick-off, with baseball spring training starting to emerge, as well as the Quakes having their season kickoff party.

Joe also reminisces about his time at the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach earlier this month. He neglected to mention that Rory McIlroy won the event, but you can forgive him for getting lost in the beauty of the rocky shoreline.

The big news in the Bay Area is that this weekend, the NBA will host its all-star festivities at Chase Center and other venues around the Bay Area . Joe complains about ticket prices, but offers some ideas on how to improve the all-star weekend.

This week's apologies/errors:

- Joe began the episode mentioning a new brew pub he checked out, and totally messed up the name. It's Canyon CLUB (not creek) Brewing Co in Danville, and you should check them out.

- Joe also failed to remember the name of KENDALL COYNE SCHOFIELDwho is a total badass hockey player and pioneer.
