Major League Baseball opens it season each April, and the NFL begins preparation for their next season, by conducting their annual draft.   The National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League both begin their long grueling playoff season. Each of these leagues conduct playoff series with each of the 16 participating teams. The NHL could be considered one of the most exciting playoff tournaments because the eight seeds have legitimate chances to win the Stanley Cup. The NBA first round has had its share of upsets, but it is rare that a lower seed is going to advance and win the NBA title. However, that does not take away from the excitement of NBA playoff basketball.
