NBAA Chief Operating Officer Steve Brown represented Member's concerns regarding the FAA's Jan. 1, 2020, deadline to equip aircraft with Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) at a Nov. 18 "Equip 2020" working group meeting. According to Brown, the three main issues that must be addressed are: the equipment's expense, the need to streamline the approval process and to need to accelerate the installation of the equipment.
