Question to Rick Henderson and Chris Fitzsimon – Since the 2016 election there have been 1.1 million new voter registrations. Rebecca Tippett with Carolina Demography just reported that for the first-time unaffiliated voters outnumber either Democrats or Republicans. A large number are younger voters who are not North Carolina natives. What do these registrations tell us about what might happen in the 2020 elections?
