It’s a little strange compiling a biography to send to our chapter, since I’m the current individual who manages our digital content, so I won’t.

I, Matthew Carpenter, am the Director of Communications for Star of Hope Ministries (as well as for our NCS chapter). Also, because this is North Jersey and I have a family, I have roughly 3 additional side hustles out of necessity.

Now, some quick details:

Adopted

Grew up in a Pastor’s home

Saved and baptized at a young age

The US Military sent me to 1 year of Bible College and that relationship dissolved

The NYPD sent me to a 2nd year of Bible College but God had another plan

I was a pastor, in some capacity, for nearly 20 years but God had different plans once again

Married for 17 years, 4 kids, living in Ramsey (trying to buy the house we are currently in)

I have been through many things throughout my life. The fact of the matter is, we all have a story and within that story are crossroads where a man decides how to translate his identity in Christ.
