Marieke Flament is the CEO of NEAR Foundation, which launched NEAR protocol, a well known blockchain development platform. Marieke is French born, and after completing her degree in computer science she started her career in Shanghai in China at the luxury business LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton and other brands.

She’s spent the last 16 years working across tech and crypto, including at Expedia’s business Hotels.com, and more recently as CEO of Circle, the fintech company that founded USDC, the stablecoin that’s pegged to the US dollar. We talk about languages, Web3's PR issues, and her passion for supporting women in the Web3 space.
