Peter J. Wallison, AEI Peter Wallison is the Arthur F. Burns Chair in Financial Market Studies and co-director of American Enterprise Institute’s program on financial market de-regulation. Prior to joining AEI, he practices banking, corporate, and financial law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Washington, DC and New York. He has held a number of government positions including, general counsel to the Treasury Department under Ronald Reagan, White House counsel to Ronald Reagan, and counsel to Nelson A.
