This episode we are reading Ned 11. 

As Ned's chapters are coming to an end we see him begrudgingly sitting the Iron Throne while King Robert hunts in the local forests.

 

Ned deals with the small folk being raided by Gregor Clegane and takes action against the outlaw. 

Forming a task force to deal with the newly named outlaw, Ned sets Berric Dondarrion as the leader assigned with bringing the Mountain to justice.

We finally get a true introduction to the Iron Throne itself which in it's own right is a character unto itself.
