Released in 1987 and depicting an unspecified dystopian future, RoboCop is a violent, funny, action-packed flick with a little something for everyone. Director Paul Verhoeven and writer Edward Nuemeier take a cynical look at America and all of the things we love so much about her.

With a powerful cast and effects that were groundbreaking for the time, RoboCop remains a landmark of genre film.
