The Wall Behind and Beyond

Neesa Hart Talks w/ Phillip about Reentry Obstacles and Her Foundation’s Work to Overcome Them

Listen Later

Incarcerated host Phillip A Jones speaks with Neesa Hart, Programming Director, of Stafford Handbells. The Stafford Regional Handbell Society is a non-profit community handbell organization in the Fredericksburg, VA area.

Neesa says, “I Have Always Loved The Transformative Power Of Handbells. Together, We Make Beautiful Music Working In Unison And Supporting Each Other. I Love That We Are Able To Bring This Joy To All Musicians Of All Ages No Matter Where They Are On Their Musical Journey.”

Neesa is also the founder of Jackie’s Song! A Foundation named in memory of her aunt. Jackie’s Song not only brings the wonderful world of music to underserved (at risk) children but also supports men and women who were incarcerated and in need of Re Entry assistance in the Virginia area! Noticing the direct impact on her students of having a parent incarcerated, they added this important layer of support to aide in their successful re entry.
