In this weeks' episode I spoke with Ulster Rugby & Northampton Saints legend Neil Best. Neil - living in Singapore now plying his post-professional playing trade in the marine industry - takes us through some of his highlights and lowlights from his playing career that spanned Ulster, Ireland, Northampton Saints, Worcester Warriors and London Scottish, including some hilarious stories that you would come to expect from a player who enjoyed his time off the pitch as much as he did on it.

We spoke on a number of subjects;

• Living in Singapore for the last 5 years and how the country has dealt with the pandemic, including Besty having to self-isolate back in March 2020
• His early days with Ulster having just come through both a degree and a Master's at Queen's University, to earning his first development contract with the province
• His highlights and lowlights across his 122 caps for Ulster, which included the lifting of the Celtic League in 2006 and Celtic Cup in 2004
• Featuring for Ireland at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France, and some hilarious stories of what went on behind the scenes
• Moving to Northampton Saints to play under Jim Mallinder in 2008, and why he felt such an affinity with the club, to the point he continued living there while playing for Worcester Warrior and London Scottish
• Post-playing career and moving into the Marine Industry as a Loss Adjustor, with all that that has entailed
• Life in Singapore, playing & coaching rugby - setting up Singapore Irish and continuing to play at an amateur level (pre-pandemic)
• His thoughts on the Six Nations and his favourites to win the tournament
