We’re covering an artist that both Remfry and Steve have a lot of respect for this week on Broken Records, as we take a deep dive into
Everybody’s Rockin’, the 13th studio album by Canadian legend Neil Young. Released on August 1, 1983, the album was recorded with the Shocking Pinks (a band made up especially for the occasion) and features a selection of rockabilly songs (both covers and original material).
Everybody’s Rockin’ received some of the worst critical reviews of Young’s career upon its release. But did it deserve such a mauling or is it in fact the single greatest troll between artist and label in the history of modern music?
