Originally, we recorded this interview with Nelson Lee during Asian Heritage Month and were going to release it closer to the release date of Mulan, where Lee plays The Chancellor in Disney's upcoming live action version of the animated classic. However, with  the global pandemic and the movie's release date being pushed back it was wiser for us to release it now on this week's episode of Stargirl airing on the DC Universe App and the CW Network, that the Dragon King's face was revealed, who Lee also portrays on the hit new series.

We spoke with Lee about what it meant to be a Chinese born-Canadian actor to return to his ancestral homeland to film a more accurate version of the epic tale of Mulan, how it feels to be a DC Entertainment super villain and art has influenced his life in now living the American Dream.
