As God of the Ocean, Neptune teaches us about wave motion. We are most familiar with particle motion--straight ahead, fast or slow. But wave motion doesn't move straight ahead. Instead, we can bob up and down. We can tumble head over heels. And we can be caught in a riptide. All of this is Neptune, who is teaching us directly about wave motion. From Neptune, we learn to participate in life. From Neptune, we learn that simply being an observer leaves a lot to the imagination. Participate fully--that's Neptune's message.
