Nerdom and Other Nonsense Anime Podcast #088 - Winter 2019 Wrap-up and Final Scores

Leo, Kat and Bcom close out Winter 2019 with reviews of the 12th and final week of the anime season. We finished off the last two episodes of Mob Psycho II, which left us wishing the show had kept the tone of the first half of the season, rather than switching half-way through. Run With the Wind defied our expectations and gave us a very satisfying ending to the running boys’ journey. Kemurikusa hinted at a potential sequel while also wrapping up the emotional arc of the narrative in a neat way. Domestic Girlfriend got dumber than ever before, and had us all wigging out. The first half of the Kaguya finale had Bcom squeeing over both the romantic fireworks and the fantastic direction and cinematography. Dororo finishes off its first half by giving us more plot development with Hyakkimaru’s family than we had expected to get at the half-way point.
