This week I spoke to Nessie Ward about the many years she spent as a teacher before retiring and trying her hand at comedy. She runs a professional comedy club called Wine Gums and had many big names headline for her including; Cally Beaton, Ian Stone, Stuart Goldsmith and many more. She has also given many up and coming comedians the opportunity to perform.

Most recently she has been developing a character called Granny Smith inspired by becoming a grandma herself.
