1/25/2026: Pastor Jeremy started his sermon series on 2nd Peter. He began today by talking about chapter 1, verses 1 through 4.

Peter celebrates four gains from knowing God to build out resistance against deceptive temptations.

1. You gain an identity in Christ (v. 1).

2. You gain an increasing experience of grace and peace (v. 2).

3. You gain an infinite power supply for an obedient life (v. 3).

4. You gain an invitation to display God's character (v. 4).

->Caution: Knowing God doesn't mean simply knowing facts about God. Knowing God is about truly understanding Him, delighting in Him, and exalting Him above all.
