The Nets were coming on the second half of a back-to-back and played the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. Despite a 39-point performance from Kyrie Irving and 37 from Kevin Durant, Brooklyn dropped the game in overtime 129-125. It was a tough loss that sent the Nets to 1-4 to start the season. Luka Doncic scored 41 of his own and the Mavericks shot 50% from three which was a massive factor in the Nets losing.
