Brooklyn made two key trades throughout the day, moving off the expiring contracts of Spencer Dinwiddie and Royce O'Neale. It was close to expected for Sean Marks and the Nets as Doug and Adam did not see any "big moves" coming for Brooklyn.

Spencer Dinwiddie went the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the expiring contract of Thad Young and veteran Guard Dennis Schroder. Royce O'Neale landed with thee Phoenix Suns in exchange for three second round picks as well as Jordan Goodwin and Keita Bates-Diop. Harry Giles was waived in a subsequent move for roster space.
