And when the baker had rubbed his feet over,

그는 방갓간 주인에게 달려가서 말하길

he ran to the miller and said,

하얀 가루를 나를 위해 내 발들 위에 뿌려주세요.

strew some white meal over my feet for me.

방앗간 주인은 스스로 생각하길

The miller thought to himself,

늑대가 누군가를 속이려고 한다고요.

the wolf wants to deceive someone,

그래서 거절했고

and refused,

그러나 늑대가 말하길

but the wolf said,

만약 당신이 해주지 않는다면

if you will not do it,

나는 너를 잡아먹을거야.

I will devour you.

그래서 방앗간 주인은 겁이 나서

Then the miller was afraid,

그의 발들을 그를 위해 하얗게 만들어 주었습니다.

and made his paws white for him.

정말이지, 이건 인위적이었습니다.

Truly, this the way of mankind.

그래서 이제 그 모질이는 3번째로 집의 문으로 갔습니다.

So now the wretch went for the third time to the house-door,

그것을 두드리며 말하길

knocked at it and said,

나를 위해 문을 열어주렴 아이들아

open the door for me, children,

너희들의 사랑하는 엄마가 집에 왔어.

your dear little mother has come home,
