But the wolf found them all,

한명씩 한명씩

one after the other

그는 그들을 그의 목구멍으로 삼켰습니다.

he swallowed them down his throat.

벽시계 안에 있던 막내만이

The youngest, who was in the clock-case,

오직 그에게 들키지 않은 한명이었습니다.

was the only one he did not find.

늑대가 그의 식욕에 만족하였을때

When the wolf had satisfied his appetite

그는 몸을 돌려

he took himself off,

나무 아래에 누웠습니다.

laid himself down under a tree

밖의 녹색 잔디밭에서

in the green meadow outside,

그리고 잠을자기 시작했습니다.

and began to sleep.

곧 지나지 않아

Soon afterwards

늙은 염소가 숲에서 집으로 돌아왔습니다.

the old goat came home again from the forest.

아, 그녀가 그곳에서 본 관경은 무엇이었냐면

Ah. What a sight she saw there.

집의 문은 활짝 열려있는 체였고

The house-door stood wide open.

식탁, 의자들, 그리고 긴 의자들이 던져져 있었고

The table, chairs, and benches were thrown down,

세척그릇은 조각조각 부셔서 놓여있었고

the washing-bowl lay broken to pieces,

그리고 이불들과 배게들은 침대에서 꺼내져있었습니다.

and the quilts and pillows were pulled off the bed.
