If you say "You never..." or "You always..." in the midst of an argument, you are disempowering your position and allowing the conversation in another direction where it's less likely that the person you're saying it to will take responsibility for what they've done. I also touch upon, in this video, the power of disengaging when the argument is not about a meeting of the minds but more about making the other person wrong. I'll also touch upon the choice we have amidst feeling minimized by somebody to rise above the battlefield, recognizing that they are in pain and don't know how to say it in a healthy way.
