New Albany Presbyterian Church: Sunday Sermons

Jesus' ministry of salvation by atonement is free and joyous for those who receive it, and it is for the purpose of our sanctification and witness to His goodness.

Christians have always and must continue to protect the lives of the unborn, the orphans, and those who are raising children in difficult circumstances.  In particular, they must oppose Issue 1 on November 7th.

No matter who you are, no matter what you believe, no matter what you may be ashamed of or feel guilty about, come and see the forgiveness and love offered by Jesus to those who know they need Him.

God has brought us through all manner of trials and challenges to this great new home for mission and worship, by His sovereign grace and by the generosity of His people. All glory to Him!

Agape love is the one thing that ties together our service to the Lord, our evangelism, and our commitment to truth.

We all have a gift to use, and apart from using yours the body of Christ will not thrive in the way it should.

We want to do everything within our power to reach our community, short of changing the message or promoting sin.

There are secondary issues over which Christians will disagree and have different convictions.  This is not a problem, provided we treat one another with respect and seek to put others ahead of ourselves.  This aligns with the EPC distinctive, "In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity."

Our willingness to unashamedly conform to the moral standards of the Word of God rather than the standards of the world, and to hold one another accountable to these Biblical standards, sets us apart as a different kind of community.  This will be compelling to those who are submitted to God, and repelling to those who are not.

Our witness to the watching world is heavily dependent upon our love for one another and our willingness to humbly serve together.
