Gordon Casey spent $50,000 on a start-up, aimed at curbing the opioid overdose crisis. Users wear a device around their arm or wrist which collects physiological data if they overdose and sends it to the app, called Be Safe. The app also connects users with loved ones who can monitor them while they use.
