As we hear these words we should be reminded that Life is filled with chapters some joyful, some painful, some marked by failure. Yet the message of the Gospel is that in Christ, we are not defined by our past. We are given a new beginning, just as the New Year brings new things, so to Christ made our way of escape to new life.
