This go-go-go mentality is causing us to feel more stress and anxiety than ever. Meditation has been around for thousands of years in the East, but the practice has made its way to the West in a big way.
We now have scientific research that backs what Buddhists have been promoting all along. Research done on meditators that adopted a practice for 8 weeks was shown to have parts of their brain shrink that are associated with our "fight or flight" mode.
Fortunately, meditation can get us out of that state more often. Start small with your practice and work your way up!
