What New Christians need to understand is when Paul states, "Love endures all things," the biblically illiterate will interpret it that as: "Keep quiet", "Do what you are told", "I can do whatever I want so just take it." However, that is spiritual abuse, not love. Love withstands adversity, but it does not justify mistreatment. Jesus died on the cross to vanquish evil, not to make it possible.
