This week we will see that God told Moses that there were three things that needed to be in place for His coming. First, God wanted to be close to them but the problem of sin created a breach between them. So He provided Moses with instructions about the practice of sacrifice, the offering of a covering for the people’s indiscretions before a Holy God. Second, God wanted to stay close to them so He gave Moses the blueprints for building the Tabernacle. But God also wanted His people to be close to each other so He declared a third thing and gave them ten commandments concerning relationships.
