Come join us in our con-versations about cosplay, comics, conventions and our other interests. In this episode the whole podcasting gang is back together – on brand new recording equipment! Tune in with us as we fine tune our audio and microphones (shout out to Rode) and get re-aligned as an even more amazing sounding podcast team. With each of us talking to into our own RØDE microphones, we might sound a little different as we get used to the new set up. In addition to new RØDE equipment for our podcasting studio, we also talk about other new and happening events and things we’ve been up to. We cover a little bit of the anime and manga that we’re currently watching or are into right now and have some recommendations for everyone to dive into.
Biggest highlight we have to talk about yet though is the current climate and conditions of the California convention scene. Are CA cons making a come back? Are you ready to go back to cons? With the latest announcement of SilCon with Adam Savage convention coming back to San Jose’s McEnry Convention Center we reflect on all these questions and more. Did you catch that latest announcement? We would love to hear what everyone else is thinking as well. Will you be coming back to a con near you? Or will you continue to shelter in place and keep your distance from these crowd filled events? Will we see more conventions start trending in the in-person physical fashion or will cons continue to be virtual? Or maybe we’ll see a hybrid of physical in person and virtual conventions. It’s a hot topic right now as everything is still up in the air. What are your thoughts and where do you see us all going from here?
