Are we giving Jesus our best, or just what’s left over?

As Pastor Michael continues our Jesus Stories series, he walks through the accounts of Mary’s costly worship, Zacchaeus’ changed heart, a widow’s two small coins, and a rich man who struggled to let go. Each story challenges us to examine what we treasure and how we respond to Jesus.

Sharing our faith does not require a formula or high pressure approach. It begins by listening, loving, serving, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Everyone we encounter matters deeply to God, and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience His love through us.

In this message from Luke 4, we examine three powerful moments from the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. Satan attempts to attack His identity, exploit His desires, and offer Him shortcuts around God’s plan. His hometown rejects Him, while even the demons recognize His authority.

Through it all, Jesus remains secure in His identity, filled with the Holy Spirit, and committed to the Father’s will. This sermon challenges us to recognize the enemy’s schemes, stand firmly on God’s Word, and stay connected to the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is still the Messiah, He has authority over every realm, and He brings transformation that knowledge alone never can.

In the final message of our Ruth series, we see that redemption always costs the redeemer something. While one man stepped away because obedience threatened what he already had, Boaz willingly accepted the responsibility and the cost.

His faithfulness placed him in a story far greater than he could have imagined, leading from Ruth to David and ultimately to Jesus Christ. This sermon reminds us that our past does not disqualify us from being used by God, but fear and comfort can keep us from answering His call. There is no better life than a life fully surrendered to Christ. Put both shoes on, say yes to God, and step into what He has called you to do.

In this week’s message, Pastor Michael continues our journey through the book of Ruth by looking at Ruth’s faithfulness and Boaz’s commitment to doing what was right.

On the threshing floor, Boaz was faced with a moment that could have easily been misunderstood. Instead of taking advantage of the situation, he chose integrity. He protected Ruth, honored her reputation, and made sure his own actions remained above reproach.

This message reminds us that faithfulness is not only found in the big moments. It is revealed through the choices we make when no one is watching. God honors those who walk with integrity, protect the dignity of others, and choose what is right even when it is not the easiest path.

In this week’s sermon, we continue through the book of Ruth and take a closer look at Naomi’s bitterness after experiencing deep loss and disappointment.

Naomi believed her life had been emptied, but even in her pain, God had not abandoned her. While she struggled to see what God was doing, Ruth remained faithful in the ordinary moments. Her loyalty, obedience, and willingness to move forward caught God’s attention and became part of a much greater story of redemption.

This message reminds us that bitterness can distort how we see our circumstances, but faithfulness positions us to experience what God is doing, even when we cannot see the full picture yet.

Pastor Michael kicks off our new sermon series through the book of Ruth by looking at the danger of running to “Moab.”

When famine came, Elimelech moved his family away from Bethlehem and into a place God had warned His people about. What looked like a practical solution led to loss, grief, and emptiness.

In this message, we explore what happens when fear pushes us to trust our own plans instead of God’s provision. Even when we make the wrong move, the story of Ruth reminds us that God’s grace is still at work and redemption is never out of reach.
