How should Christians respond to governing authorities, especially when we disagree with them? Even when it’s challenging, we’re called to live with humility, wisdom, and grace, recognizing that God is ultimately sovereign over all authority.
What should mark the life of someone who follows Jesus? The mark of a believer is demonstrated by our love. Romans 12 shows us that genuine faith is demonstrated through genuine love—not only toward the people of God, but even toward those who oppose us. We’re called to serve, give generously, show honor, extend grace, and, as far as it depends on us, live at peace with everyone.
What does it look like to follow Christ in a culture constantly shaping the way we think? Romans 12:1-2 calls us not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. True transformation is deep work over time, rooted in Scripture and lived out in Christian community.
What does it mean to renew your mind? Romans 12:2 tells us that transformation happens through the renewal of our minds. In this message, we explore how what we allow into our minds shapes us and how dwelling on God’s Word teaches us to think about God-like things in God-like ways.
What does it look like to live fully devoted to God? In Romans 12:1-8, Paul shifts from what God has done for us to how we should respond. Because of God’s mercy, believers are called to offer every part of their lives to Him, resist being shaped by the world, and be transformed through the renewing of their minds.
In Romans 11, Paul reveals God’s continuing plan for Israel and His mercy toward both Jews and Gentiles. As we look at Romans 11:19-36, we’re reminded that God’s wisdom, mercy, and faithfulness are far greater than we can fully comprehend, and that all glory belongs to Him.
No matter how badly we’ve messed up, God’s grace is sufficient. He is patient with us even when we keep pushing Him away. Whether you feel far from God or you're wondering if someone can be too far gone for God to forgive, this message will help you see how God’s love for you is beyond all we can fathom.
Have you ever been striving hard for something only to realize it was the wrong thing? Romans 10:1-11 shows us that striving isn’t what earns favor with God. In fact, there’s nothing we can humanly do to accomplish this. It’s only through submitting to God, confessing our need for a Savior and resting in His grace that we can be right with God. This is great news for a world full of people who are striving in the wrong direction.
Romans 9 is one of the most challenging passages in the New Testament, and it confronts us with difficult questions about God’s sovereignty, His freedom, His justice, and His grace.
Paul’s answer is clear: God has not failed. His promises remain true, and salvation has never been based on ethnicity, morality, human effort, or personal merit. From Isaac and Ishmael to Jacob and Esau, Paul points to the sovereign mercy and grace of God.
