He was preparing them for His crucifixion. He verified His teaching by affirming it was true. He then applied His teaching to His followers' lives. -Those who love their lives will lose them, but those who do not love their lives here on Earth will keep them for eternal life.- Sometimes churches become afraid to die because they are made up of people who are afraid. But sometimes it is necessary for one group of believers to yield to another like Jesus yielded His will and life to bring a new dawn, a new day and new life for all who will follow Him.
