New Day with SSJ

We close out our Thursday's show in traditional fashion as we go to school with Jesse Newell the Chiefs beat writer for the KC Star.   Steven and Jesse open up the hour talking about the Chiefs loss to the Bills last weekend and where it puts them in the race for the #1 Seed in the AFC.  They take a close look at the Bills and Chiefs last 7 games of the season. Next they preview the Chiefs game as they take on Panters.  Then SSJ gets Jesse's predictions for some of the big match ups of Week 12.

In the third hour of the show Steven is joined by former Chiefs Gehrig Dieter and Anthony Sherman in studio for their weekly segments.  The boys talk about the Chiefs first loss of the season at the hands of the Buffalo Bills and where this puts the team in the race for the #1 Seed in the AFC.  They give their thoughts on how the team handles this loss and some of the players returning soon from injury. They also get into a lot more of their regular nonsense.

In hour number of two of New Day Steven plays back sound from Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and Quarterback Patrick Mahomes.  Then NFL Insider Adam Caplan joins SSJ to talk about Chiefs loss against the Bills in Buffalo and they also discuss the race for the #1 Seed in the AFC.  Then they preview the big match ups of Week 12.

In the last hour of the show the guys talk Chiefs and NFL with Matt Derrick of chiefsdigest.com.   Matt talks about the Chiefs first loss this season to the Bills in Buffalo.  Matt goes through the injury report and gives his thoughts on some of the players that could be returning soon and also weighs on some of the concerns for KC after the loss last weekend.  Next Matt gives his prediction for the Chiefs vs Pathers game Sunday. Then Steven talks to Mike DiPasquale of DM Injury Law who picks against Jake on the biggest NFL and College Football games this weekend.  Mike's Got Picks!

In the 3rd hour of the show Steven talks College Football the New Day's Coach Gary Barnett.  Coach Barnett recaps the Kansas' win at BYU, Mizzou's tough comeback loss to South Carolina and KSU's loss at home to ASU.  Next they previews the huge Kansas game at Arrowhead against Colorado which Coach will be on the call for.  He also gives his thoughts on the CFP poll that came out yesterday and gives his thoughts on the other big match ups this weekend.  Then Nate talks to Kansas City Comets Head Coach Stefan Stokic.  They are broadcasting live from the Comets season Kickoff event.

Steven starts the 2nd Hour off by talking to weekly guest, college basketball expert from The Sporting News Mike DeCourcy.  They talk to Mike about his long time team the Pittsburgh Steelers and their chance at fighting for the #1 Seed in the AFC.  Then the guys talk about early season college hoops and what he has seen so far and his early thoughts on the Power Conferences and big match ups.
