As a practicing school nurse for 30 years, Kathleen Rose, RN, MHA, NCS, has served as the President of the Florida Association of School Nurses and on the Board of Directors for the National Association of School Nurses. She is now working with the American Heart Association to develop a Cardiac Emergency Response Policy for Schools to address a sudden cardiac arrest when it happens within the school.
