🎙️ Podcast Script – Day 4: Healing — When the Heart Remembers What It Survived
May 4
Hi my love… welcome back. Take a deep breath in… and let it go.
Day 4. And today I want to sit with you in something tender. Because healing is not always forward motion. Sometimes healing is sitting still long enough to acknowledge what your heart actually survived. And today — that is exactly what we are going to do.
Today’s affirmation is: Healing — When the Heart Remembers What It Survived. And our scripture comes from Psalm 34:18:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Let that hold you… close to the brokenhearted. Not distant from them. Not disappointed by them. Close.
There are things your heart survived that you have never fully given yourself credit for. You kept going when the ground fell out from under you. You kept loving when love had hurt you. You kept believing when belief felt foolish. You kept showing up — here, in this space, in your life — when every soft and loud voice was telling you to give up.
That is survival. And survival deserves to be honored.
Remembering what you survived is not the same as living in the past. It is the act of looking back long enough to say — I was there. That was real. It hurt exactly as much as I thought it did. And I made it through. That acknowledgment is not weakness. It is the beginning of the deepest kind of healing — the kind that does not paper over the wound but actually closes it.
The Lord was close to you in every one of those moments. Even the ones where you felt most alone. Even the ones where you could not feel Him at all. He was there. And He is here now — close, attentive, tender toward every place in you that is still remembering.
Power Talk:
What you survived is not something to be ashamed of — it is something to be astonished by. You are still here. You are still healing. You are still choosing. That is remarkable. Tell someone today that the fact they are still standing is not a small thing. It is evidence of a God who keeps His own close — especially when they are broken.
Name of God to study today: Jehovah Rapha — The Lord Who Heals. Not the Lord who manages. Not the Lord who patches. The Lord who heals — completely, thoroughly, from the inside out. That is who is working in you right now.
Repeat after me:
I honor what my heart survived. I do not minimize my pain or my resilience. The Lord was close to me in every broken moment. I am not defined by what broke me — I am refined by what I survived. My healing is real and it is deep. I give myself permission to acknowledge how far I have already come.
You survived, my love. Give yourself that today. And then let Jehovah Rapha do what He does best.
