                NOTES of sort..

                1. Young Rox:  Atlanta Georgia. Early 1960s  features 11 year old Drew Curry on lead guitar
                2. Fender Benders are Link & the Wraymen, although only Jack Van Horn and Ray Vernon get credit on label. This was  Mad Mike Metrovich’s copy
                3. Sugar Boy Williams, Herald, was/is Not Jody Williams despite what Blues Discography says… I got this from Jody himself….
                4. The Boogie Man – John Lee Hooker
                5. Playboy Fuller (Iverson Minter 1932-2012) also recorded as Rocky Fuller, Rockin Red, Cryin’ Red, Walkin Slim, and most notably Louisiana Red.
                6. Gerri Hall of Huey Piano Smith & the Clowns fame, born Erdine Bouise, she was discovered while waitressing at the Dew Drop in New Orleans. She was  big fan of comedian Jerry Lewis so much so that she adapted his name. She was also Fats Domino’s sister in law.
                7. Augie Garcia, “The father of Minnesota rock” – his first side, 1956.
                8. Tony Middleton – that is unmistakably Micky Baker on guitar.
                9. Tina Turner as Little Ann, her first record appearance. Ike recut the tune for Cobra , w/Carlson Oliver again singing.
                10. Henry Smith w/Calvin Frazier & Eddie Burns. How he ended up on Dot is anybody’s guess. Possibly recorded by/at Fortune or J-V-B.
                11. Lena Hall –  J-V-B, w/Calvin Frazier, Washboard Willie & his SuperSuds of Rythm (sic), they were called that because they all worked at a car wash. Recorded live at the Palmer House, Detroit 1956.
                12. The Essentials – Mixed group, probably from Philly, RCA custom press, singer Toby Malve was Puerto Rican, perhaps he still is…?
                13. Gene & the Genies –  Forrest Gene Wilson of Gene & Eunice fame.
                14. reddie “Boom Boom” Cannon, last of the rockers – produced by Gary Paxton of Skip & Flip fame, (also produced Tammy Faye Baker’s records). From 1975.
                15. Yochanan- A1 Dud label owned by Oscar “Bo Dudley” Coleman. 1970 I think. His previous two singles were recorded with Sun Ra & Arkestra.
