Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 02-11-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, let's dive into today's coastal conditions along the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches.

Get ready for a moderate rip current day with waves dancing between 2 to 3 feet - perfect for experienced surfers but requiring some caution. The northeast winds are cranking around 15 to 20 miles per hour, which means choppy waters and a bit of a challenge for casual swimmers.

Water temperatures are cooling down, ranging from the lower 60s to upper 60s, so you might want that wetsuit if you're planning an extended ocean adventure. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain, especially down towards Atlantic City and Cape May.

The UV index is moderate, so sunscreen is still your friend - don't let the cloudy conditions fool you. Temperatures will hover in the upper 60s to lower 70s, making for a crisp late September beach day.

Tide watchers, take note! High tides are rolling in during the early morning hours. Belmar checks in at 6:25 AM, Barnegat Inlet at 6:51 AM, Atlantic City at 6:43 AM, Cape May at 7:17 AM, and Rehoboth Beach at 6:52 AM.

Pro tip: Keep an eye out near groins, jetties, and piers where rip currents can be particularly tricky. While today's risk is moderate, safety should always be your priority.

As the sun rises between 6:50 and 6:55 AM and sets between 6:42 and 6:47 PM, this marks the official end of our 2024 surf zone forecast season. Stay safe, have fun, and catch those waves responsibly!
