Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 02-18-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, today's looking like a moody Monday along the Jersey and Delaware coastlines. Grab your board and your windbreaker because we've got some interesting conditions brewing.

Expect a moderate rip current risk across all beach zones, so surfers and swimmers need to stay alert. The waves are holding steady at 2 to 3 feet - not epic, but definitely rideable. Northeast winds are pushing hard at 15 to 20 miles per hour, which means choppy waters and a bit of a chill in the air.

Water temperatures are dancing between the lower 60s and lower 70s depending on your exact location. Sandy Hook's sitting pretty in the upper 60s, while Delaware beaches are enjoying slightly warmer waters in the lower 70s.

The sky's playing a cloudy game today. Eastern Monmouth might see some partly sunny breaks, but most areas are looking mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain around Atlantic City and Cape May. UV index is moderate, so don't forget some sun protection.

Temperature-wise, you'll want a light jacket. Coastal zones are hovering in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Sunrise kicks off between 6:50 and 6:55 AM, with sunset closing the day between 6:42 and 6:47 PM.

High tide times are scattered throughout the morning, ranging from 6:25 AM at Belmar to 7:17 AM at Cape May. Low tides follow around midday.

One final heads up - this is the last official surf zone forecast for the 2024 season. Stay safe, respect the ocean, and catch those waves responsibly!
